New Lexington Held First Election

New Lexington held it's first election in 1811 or 1815 at the New Lexington Township House. Frederick Miller was elected Justice of the Peace and Henry Kessling (Keisling) and Simeon Van Winkle were elected township trustees. Elections have been held at the New Lexington Township House every year since then. The current township house was a one-room brick schoolhouse in New Lexington.
