First School In Twin Township
The first school in Twin Township was in a log cabin on Judge James Nisbet's farm. Students were taught by George Miller, son of squire Miller. Then students were taught by David Williams. The school was not far from the Old Presbyterian Church. The first schoolhouse was used as a meeting house for both the Baptists and Presbyterians in the New Lexington area.
